Accepted
When it is their time, a Novice will be summoned by the Mistress of Novices, who will lead them to the room where the three-arched ter'angreal waits to show them their greatest fears - once for the past, once for the present, and once for the future.
All raising threads must include at least four parts, of at least 500 words each - one for the summoning, and at least one for each of the three passes your character must make through the ter'angreal. This test is detailed in The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn; you should read those before posting your raising thread.
Aes Sedai
When it is time, an Accepted will be summoned by the Mistress of Novices, who will lead them to the room where an arched ter'angreal will test their strength and composure. The Accepted will be required to channel 100 weaves, in order, in a state of perfect calm, in order to be deemed worthy of the shawl.
The ter'angreal will take the Accepted through 100 different scenarios, all of which will be difficult, either physically or emotionally. During each scenario she will have to channel the required weave at a star before progressing to the next. At the beginning of each scenario she will not remember what has come before, only what is required of her.
At the end of the testing, the Accepted will be told to spend the night in contemplation. In the morning, seven sisters - one from each Ajah - will lead her back to the testing room, where she will swear the Three Oaths (without the Oath Rod), and choose her Ajah.
All raising threads must include at least five parts, of at least 500 words each - one for the summoning, at least three for the test, and one for the morning after. Each post describing the test itself should detail one scenario, and you may write more than the three which are required. This test is detailed in New Spring; you should read that before posting your raising thread.
Younglings
When it is felt that a Trainee is ready to be raised, they shall be tested for their ability to become a Youngling. During the test, three Younglings will challenge the Trainee in the Youngling's preferred weapon. Each time, the Youngling must be satisfied with the Trainee's skill before he or she will be deemed to have passed. After the test, a short ceremony will be held in the Training Yards.
Your character does not have to beat the Youngling testing him or her in order to pass. In fact, it is unlikely that this would ever happen. The Youngilng will stop the test when they are satisfied as to the Trainee's skill. You should be tested in two or three different weapons, and you may choose which they are. The bow should not be used.
All raising threads must include at least four parts, of at least 500 words each - one for each test, and one for the summoning or detailing the ceremony afterwards.
Gaidin
When it is felt that a Youngling is ready to be raised to Gaidin or Gaidar, they are sent on the most perilous quest of all. After being called, the Youngling is sent into the Blight with whatever he or she can carry. Dropped at its edge, the Youngling is charged with killing as many Shadowspawn as he or she can before returning, at which time he or she will be raised to the rank of Gaidin or Gaidar.
All raising threads must include at least five parts, of at least 500 words each.
Dedicated
The raising for Soldiers to become Dedicated is far less complex than for those in the White Tower. Rather than a test, it is a ceremony, where the Soldier will be called in front of the Black Tower and presented with his sword pin.
All raising threads must include at least three parts, of at least 500 words each. These should detail the ceremony, how the Soldier feels about being raised, etc. The one requirement is the oath, which runs "For the M'Hael, the Tower and the Light." Every Dedicated takes this oath. Otherwise you may write about anything you wish, provided the thread is a significant one.
Asha'man
The ceremony for Dedicated to be raised to Asha'man is similar to that for Soldiers to be raised to Dedicated.
All raising threads must include at least three parts, of at least 500 words each. These should detail the ceremony, how your character feels about being raised, etc. You may write about anything you wish, provided the thread is a significant one.
Wise Ones
To be raised from Apprentice to full Wise One, a girl must go through the arches at Rhuidean twice. The first time, before she begins her training, she will see all her possible future actions, and the consequences which will arise from them. This raising may be completed at any time before your character completes her training.
The second time, after her training is complete, she will experience history - be it the history of the Aiel, of her family, or of herself.
All raising threads must include at least four parts, of at least 500 words each - one being called, and three each detailing a different scenario. Your character's second raising thread should include a fifth post, after your character ememrges from the arches. This test is detailed in The Shadow Rising; you should read that before posting your raising thread.
