Objects of the One Power
Ter'angreal

Ter'angreal are Power-wrought objects which serve a specific purpose. Each is activated in a different way, and may or may not require use of the One Power. Known ter'angreal include:

Three arches
Used to raise Novices to Accepted. Shows each Novice her three greatest fears - one for the past, one for the present, and one for the future. Held in the lower reaches of the White Tower.

Oval arch
Used to raise Accepted to Aes Sedai. Aes Sedai channel into the arch to simulate 100 difficult situations, to escape from which the Accepted must channel 100 weaves, in a set order and in perfect composure. Held in the lower reaches of the White Tower.

Glass columns
Used in raising Wise Ones and Clan Chiefs. Does not require channelling. Held at Rhuidean.

Red doorframes
The doorways to the worlds of the Eelfinn and Aelfinn. One, marked with sinuous lines, allows three questions to be answered. Frivolous questionns may be punished, and questions about the Shadow are forbidden. The other, marked with three downward pointing triangles, grants three requests. Each doorframe may only be entered once. Objects made of iron, fire and musical instruments are all forbidden. The first doorway was given to the Aes Sedai as a gift of peace from Tear. The second was destroyed in the Third Age.

Guardian
At Far Madding, a ter'angreal which prevents channelling within the city, and which can detect if someone is channelling nearby.

Crystal Throne
The throne of the Empress of the Nine Moons, Empress of Seanchan. A ter'angreal which inspires awe in all who come before it.

Chair of remorse
Inflicts upon anyone bound to it penance for their past misdeeds.

Oath rods
Known as the Nine Rods of Dominion during the Age of Legends, their original purpose is unknown. In the Third Age, these rods were used to make oaths physically binding, and are activated by channelling Spirit into one end. Used most notably by the Aes Sedai to bind each new sister unto the Three Oaths, until early in the Fifth Age. Oaths taken on the rods result in a tightening of the skin, which was formerly responsible for the ageless look of the Aes Sedai.
